The 500-hectare (1,200-acre) plot in Shashamene, 250 kilometres (155 miles) from Addis Ababa, was offered to descendents of slaves who wanted to return "home". The land was granted by the over half a century ago. But life on the RastaÃs promised land is a struggle and they still have no legal immigration status.
