Parrandas de Remedios 2008. The Parrandas is a traditional festival that takes place every year in Remedios. During the festival the inhabitants are split into two factions, symbolizing the two town opposite district: San Salvador and El Carmen. The climax of the celebrations is during the Christmas Eve when starting races of fireworks and floats. After the declaration of the winner, the celebrations continues till morning with traditional dances and music.
